The People
"…dedicated, hardworking, outstanding in their respective crafts, obstinate at times, yet always single-minded for the mission placed on their shoulders."

"…individuals who, with little thought of anything in return, unselfishly give their time, talents, hearts and minds to provide a dedicated and highly competent staff work for the President."

These are but a few of the words coming from PMS Heads to describe their fellow workers in PMS.

The multidisciplinary character of the PMS personnel enables them to adapt to the dynamic requirements of the Presidency. Close to sixty percent (55.26%) of the present workforce holds managerial, supervisory and professional/technical positions. The rest are administrative and other non-technical personnel who provide critical support services to the primary operating units of PMS.

The workforce is endowed with a mixture of the wisdom and maturity of pioneers and long-serving employees, and the vitality and dynamism of the young. Around sixty percent (59.03%) has rendered between 1 to 3 decades of service in PMS, including its forerunners; the rest, below 10 years.

The current gender profile generally reflects employment equity among men and women, with a ratio of 1.06 male to 1 female. In terms of status of employment, both almost equally share the permanent plantilla positions.

Among the most evident characteristics in the members of the PMS workforce is that they share the same primary driving force that keeps them going-their utmost dedication to serve the Presidency. More often than not, they forego sleep and food, even some personal relationships, although the choice for the latter is theirs, in order to complete a task.

Everyone is fully tapped, from the central office to the regional extension units, to cope with the President's requirements. It is never difficult to do this, because to the PMS staff, the gratitude is theirs, not the President's, for being able to serve the nation by serving the President.
