(May 7, 2008) Philippine President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo inspects the area with (from left): Congressman Alvin Sandoval, MMDA Chairman Bayani Fernando, Ambassador Makoto Katsura, Navotas City Mayor Toby Tiangco and DPWH Secretary Hermogenes Ebdane during the inauguration of the Bangkulasi Pumping Station and Floodgate (KAMANAVA area flood control and drainage system improvement project in the R-10 Bridge Navotas City). The Bangkulasi drainage area covers a total of 75 ha. bounded in the north by Malabon River; in the east by Navotas-Marala River; in the south by C-3 road; and in the west by R-10 Road. With the President is JBIC chief representative Hiroshi Togo.
